Out here on the periphery
you’re in good company
you are exactly where you need to be
able to wander the world with eyes wide open
free of cliques
they get too stuffy
some cats are too busy being cool to realise they’ve
wasted the best eight of their nine lives.
I’ve always been an outsider looking in
personally, I prefer to breathe the fresh air
of the wilderness and on occasion
the stale odour of reality
coming from the seat just across from to me
on this train to nowhere
I choose to lose gracefully
As I drift off the edge of the horizon.
